Dialysis providers' code of conduct

We expect that all renal providers and renal professionals who refer patients to AKF for HIPP program grants act in an ethical manner and comply with Advisory Opinion 97-1.  This is the federal guidance that prevents conflicts of interest and ensures that the program operates in accordance with all applicable laws. AKF asks all dialysis providers to sign our voluntary Code of Conduct. By signing, providers agree to educate patients about the HIPP program and ensure that patients have access to accurate and impartial information about health insurance coverage options. This enables patients to make informed decisions when selecting the best coverage for their unique health situation, and allows eligible applicants to receive assistance from AKF's HIPP program.
