Priscilla VanderVeer
Priscilla VanderVeer is a Vice President of Public Affairs at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), the trade association representing America's research-based biopharmaceutical companies. At PhRMA, Priscilla leads the development and execution of communications strategies and activities for the organization's key federal, state and international issue advocacy priorities. This includes driving strategic leadership of the organization's earned media engagement, message development, paid media, events and sponsorships, localized issue campaigns and day-to-day rapid response on a variety of topics impacting the global biopharmaceutical industry.
Prior to joining PhRMA, Priscilla was a vice president in the health care division at the DC-based public affairs consulting firm, APCO Worldwide. She has also served in roles at the American Academy of Pediatrics, People For the American Way and the National Partnership for Women and Families.
Priscilla received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Mexico and her Master of Arts from George Washington University. She lives in Annapolis, Maryland with her husband and their two dogs, Bea Arthur and Henry.
