America Rodriguez (nee Colon), age 71 of Woodbury, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Woodbury on November 15, 2024. She was born in Camden, New Jersey on December 7, 1952 to the late Francisco and Maria (nee Burgos) Colon. Beloved wife of the late Antonio; Devoted mother of Elisa Rodriguez, Christina L. Rivers, Daisy Rodriguez-Cruz (Edgar) and Antonio Rodriguez Jr. (Belia); Loving grandmother of 16, great grandmother of 18, great great grandmother of 2; Dear sister of Felipe Colon, Angel Burgos (Adelaida), Frances Kaleta (Dan), Francisco Colon (Consuelo Perez), Antonio Colon (Yupa), Luz Colon, and the late Irma, Carmen, Frank, Frederick and Ines Colon. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Prior to her retirement, America was employed as a clerk and administrative assistant with the Camden County Board of Social Services for many years. She loved to travel the world - especially to Mexico and Hawaii, singing karaoke, reading and writing. She enjoyed crafts and was a collector - everything from porcelain dolls to plates and coins.
